Visit from Newcastle University.
Hi everyone, Today Year 5 had a special visit from students who had just graduated from Newcastle University. During the visit we found a lot more information out about university and the different degrees on offer (there are over 52,000 different ones). We each received a 'Campus Explorer' booklet with lots of different activities in. There were a variety of activities during the morning, including; code cracking, sea life matching game, guess the animal and questions about the tongue. We had a lot of fun this morning and we found out some interesting facts. Did you know that not one tongue is the same? They are like fingerprints and are all different. Did you know that only 1% of the population can reach their elbow with their tongue? Did you know that only 10-15% of the population can use their tongue to touch their nose? Thanks Year 5 :)
